Of all the areas in Squamish, the Smoke Bluffs hold a unique place of affection amongst climbers. They are a collection of more than 50 crags on a gentle forested hill at the edge of downtown Squamish that rise in a series of tiers from sea-level to a summit at 230m.
The granite is the same marvellous fine-grained, sticky rock as the Chief, and provides a plethora of great climbs of all grades. Approaches are short and pleasant, and therefore the area can be popular.
All routes are described from left-to-right as in line with UKC, and thus the order of routes and crags may not always be identical to the guidebooks.
