Rockfax Description
270m. A sporting mountaineering route with much scrambling in the lower reaches in order to gain and climb the arête above and right of the Amphitheatre. Start up a branch of Cìoch Gully, 50m down and right from the base of Cìoch Buttress (or start further left if the gully is very wet). Go left up the main gully a short way, then leave it and ascend slabs towards the Amphitheatre. Pass Central Gully which crosses the base of the Amphitheatre, then go up and right on water-worn slabs to the arête. Follow the arête for 100m to where it narrows dramatically. A 15m steep wall on the right forms an exposed crux, leading to a small bay.
