The buttress that forms the west side of the descent gully has a prominent groove with a slabby left wall. better protected than CC guide makes out. A difficult start up the shallow scoop, gains the ledge, step right to groove, climb this to small overhanging block, traverse diagonally right on good rock to a small ledge and corner, continue straight to a airy mantel finish (good nut just below top)
