Crag features

Some of Britain's best mid grade crack climbs. The South crag sees regular traffic now from local and visiting climbers, and is the perfect place to hone your crack climbing skills. The crag boasts routes from 10 to 45 metres with very pleasant and accessible belay positions.

Approach notes

15min walk up from Staffin slipway. Easy descent gully splits north and south crags.

No Access Issues

The parking at the slip can sometimes be full of campervans in high season. Don't park in the passing places along the road.

Many of the routes, especially those at the right end of the Crag have been cleaned this spring - thanks to now local James Sutton. Last year I thought I’d nip down Experimental Learning for half an hour and give it a quick clean - took 4 hours! Now probably worth the 4 stars it gets in SMC selective guide. Was unclimbable prior to my scrubbing...

This crag should be way more popular, it's excellent.
