Seen from Glen Nevis the distinctive summit cone of Stob Ban tops three buttresses. South Buttress has several good winter gully climbs. Central Buttress features three gully lines, a rocky rib and an arête all giving good winter climbs on broken rock.
From Glen Nevis ascend the east bank of Allt Coire a'Mhusgain, descend to a stream and climb easy snow slopes to the crags in about 1 1/2 hours.
