βeta: Lead the first route, same lead pearly gates. Good combo. Both routes seem to be steady with one tricky move | βeta?

βeta: Crumbling rock in break of second pitch was really disconcerting, pulled off a hold while placing a cam with the other and almost took a fall, then cam came loose due to more rock breaking. Not that safe... | βeta?

βeta: First did this 30 years ago in 2 pitches but really enjoyed today's ascent in one pitch, although certainly more polished it is still a Stoney classic , some loose rock but bags of protection to ease the stress! However, I think doing it in one pitch makes it feel like a good HVS? | βeta?

βeta: Pearly Gates not a pleasant experience IMO. Great exposure for the grade but loose, shattered rock and rope drag made this a climb I was glad to get off. | βeta?

βeta: Just did the 'Gabriel' part. Nice moves, getting progressively more thoughtful the higher you get. | βeta?

βeta: How come nobody has mentioned that The Pearly Gates is on the verge of falling down? Enjoy it while you can though, good steep 'bum in space' exposure and big (if temporary) holds. | βeta?

βeta: Gabriel mild for the grade, more like 4b with great gear except for the very top. Pearly gates a fantastic route, very exposed and solid Vs 4c for one or two moves. | βeta?
