Rocktype Sandstone (hard)

Quality rough sandstone with many cracks, 20-25m high. Steep and strenuous climbing in many cases, but some great routes and memorable moves. Very shady and suitable for summer daytime, though it can be a little muggy then; in that case bring mozzie repellant.
Park at the end of Shackel Road, Bangor, being considerate of local access (i.e. park 50m back up hill if necessary). 10 minute down-hill walk through ferny forest and a couple of rocky step-downs sees you at the LH end of the crag. There is one right turn on the path that could be missed if you're asleep, so keep half an eye open.
