The National Trust (who own the Dewerstone and surrounding land) are happy to allow climbing access but ask that abseil descent from trees is not used to prevent damage to the trees.
Dates: 21 April to 30 June
Reason: Nesting Birds
Kestrels are nesting on Upper Raven Buttress - it is worth avoiding these rarely visited climbs while the birds are nesting and it is likely that the young will have fledged by the end of June.1957.

βeta: Definitely a climb that gets disregarded. However the moves are spectacular on it. The Overhang is challenging but you can put in a knee bar for rest. Good protection. There used to be an old piton but that’s rusted away. Very green on rock over after overhang. If you like a bit of gardening while climbing check this route out!

βeta: Followed corner until above first tree, then set up an anchor on ledge to the right. Then lead final pitch slightly from the right, with a traverse to the top of chimney, with some exposed moves, running the gear out a little to the top. Incredible view to be shared with a great pal! | βeta?
