Lovely highball and bouldering area at the southern end of the Llangattock escarpment. Details in Martin Crockers PDF update to the area.
The Lonely Shepherd Boulder - Come from Brynmawr you will see a road go down a hill to the right (towards Llanelly). There is a clear dirt track opposite this junction and an old wooden foothpath sign saying (The Lonely Shepherd). Follow up the path, About 50m up you will see the crag, easily identified by the stone pillar on the upper section, keep following the path and then bear right up the hill and you will got to the crag. Parking in very tight for the Lonely Shepherd so be careful not to block the road
