Toskefloget is a large and versatile climbing area with
mostly grade six and seven climbing. This is a
formation-rich and vertical wall with an overhanging
section in the middle section below. The wall is often dry
even when it rains, and can be climbed already from
February on sunny days. Most routes have several rope lengths,
and it is really recommended to climb the airy routes to
the top. It gives a new dimension to the climbing that you
don't find so much in other places on Sunnmøre..
Toskefioget looks loose at first glance, and many spend
some time getting warm in their jerseys. It's a lot firmer
than it looks. Have faith in the roof, and relax in the
steepness. The routes have many positive and good roofs. Here
you can both become strong and get good technique - in plenty.
This is a spring field that dries up quickly from February.
The field is relatively rainproof, but there may be water
here and there if it rains for several days in a row.
It can get a bit warm in the wall on hot summer days.
It is nice and flat to stay at the foot of the wall, and
a lovely view of the Voldsfiorden.
