An abandoned quarry, now a sculpture park consisting of many boulders with unrecorded problems and a few hidden rock faces. Notice boards with maps at the entrances should help identify the various sectors. A stone circle, named Porthenge by locals has been erected at the northern entrance to the quarry and has numerous recorded problems. These boulders are named after signs of the Zodiac working clockwise (left-to-right) to enable finding routes.
From the top of the hill on Portland turn right at the roundabout into Wide Street. After about 300m turn right and follow the road to it's end where access and parking for the quarry is gained.
29/10/22: Apparently the monument and the entire quarry is an SSSI and climbing is not allowed. I met an employee this afternoon as I arrived, they really sont want people here climbing and damaging the area. There are apparently plans to cut away any bolts that gets found.
