A wonderfully wild and peaceful environment consisting of a complex ridge of buttresses and boulders accessed by a walk-in from the parking. Very easy to spend a whole day here if your skin can cope.
Best in the Spring, Autumn and Winter when the ferns are down, temperatures are lower and the ticks are (hopefully) less prevalent.
Limited parking at the end of the pot-holed metalled road before the cattle grid. There is some additional parking further back down the road.
Park considerately as this small parking area is sometimes shared by walkers, boulderers and shooting enthusiasts (amongst others). Don't park in front of the farmer's gates (which are signed as such) and don't park on the moor as the track is maintained by the farmer.
Recently Re-kindling a fire inside me for granite bouldering. Loads of problems from V0 - V7 and soon beyond!
