Triglav, with an elevation of 2,864m, is the highest mountain in Slovenia and the highest peak of the Julian Alps. The mountain is the pre-eminent symbol of the Slovene Nation and features on the nation's flag.

There are many routes to the summit and a number of excellent huts provide shelter and comfort.

The 1200m high North Face of Triglav is the most impressive in the Julian Alps.
