230m, 5 pitches. A sustained adventure. 230m of steep ice in a serious location. The approach couloir is exposed to falling ice, it pays not to approach directly up the avalanche cone, and don't dally in the ampitheatre (on the first ascent a free hanger the size of a minibus fell into the approach as the team started climbing the route). The slopes above are very avalanche prone and perfect snow conditions are required to make a safe descent down one of the gullies to the left (looking up the route).
