All the lower level crags within the beautiful Val di Mello, from convenient single pitch to long multi-pitch routes. The great classics are 'Oceano Irrazionale', 'Il Risveglio di Kundalini' and 'Luna Nascente', the harder parts of which follow cracks and corners, but the predominant style climbing in Mello is on slabs, which vary from well bolted to fully trad, and sometimes feature very long run-outs.
Note that the absence of stars may reflect an absence of information rather than of quality.
It costs €10 for a day pass to park in Val di Mello itself, and passes will sell out on busy days. Alternatively park in San Martino (€7 per day, but some free spaces) and walk an extra 25 minutes. Approaches to the crags take between 20 minutes and 1.5 hours from the Val di Mello parking (the higher routes on Monte Qualido and the surrounding peaks are not included here).
