Climbs 136
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 198m a.s.l
Pocketed limestone cliff of about 15-20m high located at the back of a large vinyard near the commune of Vertus. Range of grades from easy to hard, the consistancy of grades in the guide book (France Roc 2) is a bit eratic. Not all climbs are in the English Topo (France Roc 2) but lots of the climbs have name tags on the rocks so counting along is straight forward. Nice crag and climbing although base will be muddy when it rains.
Local guide available from the Marie in Vertus - 10eu.
Parking located at 48.889500,3.987200 - walk up the obvious path to the crag. Very straightforward. Area is used by the French army for adventure training, so don't be surprised if a number of large army trucks turn up!
Bird bans can be applied. Spring 2020 Gaston se Rebiffat banned.
Following routes have been partially debolted and are overgrown: Bleu Amande; Vert Lavande; Rose Citron; Junglofolies; Pacush Blues; Le Delire De Tarzan; Petit Ventre; Les Marmousettes.
