Crete's one and only via ferrata (as of July 2025). Lots of outdoor companies offer it as a trip but it is very doable if you have your own kit.

The What3Words references for parking and the start of the route are pretty helpful (see the crag description). From the parking, go East along tracks until little arrow signs are picked up. The path contours around until it hits a gorge - go right down this until wires are encountered high and right before a drop. From here, the 'iron way' descends until a gap where you have to climb up to the wires.

Cross a pinnacle here (the guide sites make a lot of this and it is photogenic). Then there is a long rightwards traverse, with some hardish bits until the up part is reached.

The climb to the finish feels long (especially if it is hot). At the end of the wires, trace back to the car using the little 'Mac-a-packa' cairns until the original gorge is crossed, then it is a quick hike back to the parking spot.

The grade is a guess. We did the whole trip in 2 hours 20 minutes but weren't rushing.
