Big west facing cave near to La Balme de Yenne. Appears to be much quieter than La Balme, which, with its 30 second walk-in, attracts climbers with young children. Routes in the cave feature lots of stalactites. A number of them have permadraws. As you might expect some of the routes deep in the cave are a little dirty. Routes just on the left edge of the cave have long continuous tufas, similar to La Balme. There are some more moderate routes away from the mouth of the cave on both the left and right hand side and these tend to be more pockety.
From the village of Virignin, take the road Du Village until you see unpaved, single track road on your left with an old gate. Take this track and follow it to its end where there is a small clearing allowing parking for a few cars. Take the path on the right side of the parking place. Take the left path where it quickly forks and follow it as it zigzags steeply up the hill (take care - it's a bit skree like in parts) for 15 minutes to arrive at the cave.
