Crag features

Vratsa is the largest climbing area in Bulgaria. The rocks are located to the west of the town with the same name, on the northern slopes of the Vratsa Mountain (part of the Balkan Ridge). They are a favourite place for Bulgarian and many foreign climbers.

There are routes at Vratsa suitable for rock climbers of all levels and preferences. Sport routes range from difficulty grade 5c to 8c, and the trad (alpine) ones up to 7c. The region is suitable for beginners' training courses as well. There is a huge potential for new routes in already developed sectors or in new ones.
