Rockfax Description
The most popular route at White Ghyll has two contrasting pitches - the first a lovely wall and the second in a thrilling position. Start on a ledge below the large central corner.
1) 4a, 20m. Move up the corner for a little way then transfer onto the right wall. Climb it on good holds all the way to a large belay ledge, below the right end of the overhang at the top of the corner.
2) 4b, 20m. Traverse left into the corner and make a stride out onto the arete. Move up steeply to a small overhung corner and finish to its left up easier ground. © Rockfax

βeta: Worrying amount of loose stuff at start of second pitch up to arete, from where I backed off. No in situ abseil but we did use the holly tree and a 60m does, just, make it (definitely one to knot the ends!!) | βeta? | |
