A clean sheer wall of fine grit, with a gentle walk-in by Rhinnogau standards, offering a few excellent climbs around the E3 level. Facing North West it gets the summer sun from about 4pm, and can seep a little after prolonged rain.
Leave the A496 at Llanbedr and follow the scenic but torturous minor road into Cwm Bwychol - parking and tranquil camping. Follow the Roman Steps path East until the crag is clearly visible. When beneath the crag, scramble up to the terrace beneath. 30 mins total.
Nice crag in a lovely position with a relatively easy walk in, even for those seriously averse to anything walking related. Also benefits from a perfect paddling stream in the campsite/farm at the bottom, ideal for cooling off after the walk down. Watch out for ticks though. magpie - 01/Jun/09 |
