 2.35 milesWe made an early start and arrived at Ogwen about 8:30 but it was already too late to get parked. Eventually we gave up and went to the park-and-ride at Bethesda. Once back at Ogwen we walked up to Idwal Slabs to climb Hope. To descend we scrambled the Easy Way and abseiled to the path, then cut back across the hillside under Sub-Cneifion Ridge to get back to Ogwen in time for the last bus back to Bethesda to pick up the car. Back home 17 hours after we set off. [ hide map ] |

| Idwal Slabs (aka Cwm Idwal) - Hope VD *** The polish and streaks of wet made this quite challenging for a V Diff, although the moves always turned out to be better and more positive than they looked. A long day - we had to park at Bethesda and take the bus, and then got held up by other parties - but a good one. with Amanda Wyatt |
