Trewavas - Mr Smiley VD
Not convinced we climbed the climbs here as they are in the book! Definitely did 2x VD-feeling climbs (far left arête (with sea on your left) which I think is Mr Smiley, and the obvious black crack in the main wall about 10m left of Spy which I think could be Tinker) and a couple in between. A pleasant start to the afternoon! Spy looks great but was sopping wet.

Tricky top-out, would have been exciting on lead!! A good little route.

Tried to lead it but I am so out of condition! The middle is the crux, with only small holds while faffing with small gear. I came down and tried a second and third time but my arms were done. Martin smashed it out easily, but even seconding on TR I couldn’t stay on! Pathetic. Will come back and do it properly.
