| Slieve Bearnagh - Theotokos E2 5c *** Superb route. Awesome cleaning effort from Niall. Really lovely flowly climbing with an interesting classic Mourne slabby seam crux near the top. Well protected throughout but the crux does make you climb a bit above the gear. Doesnt get much better really! Finished up the obvious flared offwidth for a new variation direct finish which was short lived but very worthwhile. This finish felt about 5a/b. Brilliant new addition from the brother and stands shoulder to shoulder in terms of quality with the other routes on this amazing wall. Congratulations Niall! with Niall Burns, Matus |
