| Craig Y Dwr, Craftnant - Vypon E2 5c ** Needs cleaning again. Only route I have ever done where I have had to detach brambles from my clothes with one hand whilst climbing up using the other (first pitch only)! Yarded on and then stood on the ironwork on P2 - probably still a 5a move - nice climbing on this pitch. David thought there were pegs from which an emergency abseil descent could be made at the top of this pitch. Only peg scars remain... Probably needed one more sling for me to stand in at the start of P3, as even with a sling for a left hand hold, I really struggled to find anything usable for either foot to get me up to the good break. David hauled me briefly here so that I could get established. More fun techy moves up to the top. with David |
