Bonington heads for the hills - you get to watch online

Starting tomorrow [August 24], Sir Chris Bonington will be relaying back his exploits from the "unclimbed, unexplored" mountain fastness of Ladakh in the top North West corner of India.

Sir Chris says: "The highest peak in the range is 6789m, and there are a dozen more peaks in the 6000m range around a complex glacier system. From distant photographs and maps based on satellite observations the peaks appear technically challenging." Online reports will start flowing back to the Arganglas expedition web page - which just goes to show that he may qualify for a bus pass (being over 65) but SCB can still show other folk a few things about using new technology.
