The IFSC Bouldering World Cup was held in Brno in the Czech Republic over the weekend.

Lucy Creamer, BMC Competitions Officer reports:

"In the women's event Juliette Danion (FRA) beat off close challenges from Anna Stonr (AUT) and Olga Shalagina (UKR) to win the world cup for France. Britain's Audrey Seguy came 32nd after sustaining a back injury during the comp and had to pull out, which was very disappointing. Our other female entrant, Diane Merrick was competing in her first ever World Cup and came 34th.

In the men's event Dmitry Sharafutdinov (RUS) was first with Killan Fischhuber (AUT) second and Stephane Julien third. Dave Barrans from Manchester took 8th place, narrowly missing the finals. Gaz Parry took 9th place and Mark Croxall 19th and Rod MacKenzie 21st. Overall, Killan Fischhuber took the Word Cup with Sharafutdinov second and Julien third."
