La Ola, new 8A+ near Rio

Last week, Caio Gomes made the first ascent of a long standing project in Rio de Janeiro, a wave-like granite boulder located at Pracinha de Itacoatiara. The name is La Ola. Weighing in at V12/8A+, it's now one of the hardest problems around Rio. Source: Escalada café Here's the video:

This is not only because I secretly wish the Brazilian Climbing federation will give me a free trip to Brazil, but also because I believe some of you might be interested in what's going on in different parts of the world, even if it's not 8C or 9b ascents.
