The GB Ice Climbing Team has just returned from Rabenstein, Italy after competing in the 4th round of the UIAA Ice Climbing World Cup, with both Harry Holmes and Anna Wells making semi-finals and finishing 18th and 19th respectively.

Anna had been hoping to improve on her 11th place finish in Saas Fee, but a hectic week of travelling and training took its toll:

"19th place...I had a tiring week and I think it showed in my climbing! But now I get to stay in Europe for the next 4 days, climbing and resting until the Champagny competition so I will come back fighting!"

Harry had qualified in 9th place in his group for the semi-finals, finishing in 19th position and improving greatly on his 35th place in Saas Fee.

Net stop for the team is in Champagny, France this weekend (5th-7th February).
