The men's Speed final produced the fastest race in men's Speed climbing history today as Veddriq Leonardo of Indonesia won the first-ever men's Speed Olympic gold in a time of 4.75 seconds versus Peng Wu of China's 4.77 seconds. Bronze medallist Sam Watson of the USA set a new World and Olympic Record of 4.74 seconds in his small final against Reza Alipour of Iran.
