This winter season, Lowe Alpine have teamed up with the BMC to get people out experiencing everything winter has to offer and Make Winter Count.

To support you winter warriors getting out and about on your winter adventures, Lowe Alpine are offering one lucky UKC member the chance to win an award winning Ascent Superlight 30 pack- so there's no excuse not to get out and hit up some snowy slopes and #MakeWinterCount!

The Ascent Superlight 30 is the pack of choice for the modern alpinist, the ultimate lightweight backpack for fast and light ascents.

We've done everything to make this pack super-lightweight, trimming it down to the essentials you'll need for fast and light alpine ascents. A zip entry system gives the Ascent Superlight an incredibly clean and streamlined look. However technical capabilities are not compromised, and this pack boasts features such as a double HeadLocker ice axe attachment system with an elasticated top retainer, a top tensioning rope holder and mitt-friendly winter buckles.

A removable frame even has a fold out bivvy mat, meaning you'll be fully equipped and ready for any scenario in the mountains! The Ascent Superlight is also designed with an active shoulder harness to allow full body movement with no loss in carrying comfort while moving fast over steep, technical ground.

Our TriShield® Superlight fabric coating balances weight against water repellency to deliver a lightweight yet durable solution that retains a high tear resistance and excellent durability.

"Love this pack! The clean styling appealed to me before I even tried this pack on, and after a year of using it intensely I can report that it functions as well as it looks! The wide opening top is easy to load/unload, tool attachments work great, and the bivvy mat is as comfortable as any I've found in a pack of this size. Surprisingly large for the stated 30L volume, relative to other brands I've used." – Review from Scott B

I'm sure this pack is very nice. I'm wondering however what this 'bivi mat' is, what it looks like, where it's stowed and how it works. Youtube is where some outdoor companies have put up vids with all the features, in fact have a look at the Decathalon Simond stuff on their own site as their vids are really slick. There dosn't seem to be an info out there. Thanks.
