Turnbull commented to UKC:

"First British ascent I believe although Leigh Mc and Mike P had several good attempts in the past, and I'm pretty sure Dave Heseldon also tried. Conditions on the route have changed a lot over the past 12 months. The day 2 approach is the hardest day - up to Standarht Coll, down to ice cap then back up to Coll of Hope."

With the weather looking warm but good for the next week, we wish the trio good luck on their next objective.

This ascent has been talked about in the UKC forums.

Stu McAleese is sponsored by DMM and Mountain Equipment

Dave Turnbull is the CEO of the BMC
