Shauna Coxsey has been officially announced as the twentieth athlete to join Team GB at this summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo. Although Shauna earned an Olympic berth last September at the IFSC World Championships in Hachioji, Japan, only this week was she officially named as the first ever British athlete in Sport Climbing to join Team GB in the sport's maiden Olympics.

Shauna is seeded in third position for the Games, which will take place on 4th-7th August 2020. Further Continental Championship Olympic qualification events in February and March will complete the roster of athletes selected for Tokyo.

This week, Shauna has featured on the BBC Sport website, in The Guardian, The Telegraph and numerous other mainstream outlets talking about her journey to becoming an Olympian.

At a media event at The Climbing Works on Tuesday, Nick Brown interviewed Shauna for our upcoming pre-Olympic video coverage. Here's a short interview clip of Shauna talking about what it feels like to be heading to the Games. UKC will also be reporting from Tokyo during the Games, with daily videos presented by Charlie Boscoe and Mike Langley.

Well done Shauna and good luck! I missed the coverage of you on the BBC news the other day but caught Leah Crane talking bouldering and your training regime on R4 yesterday.

(PS - disliker to the OP: C'mon! You ought to be ashamed of yourself.)
