Learning to Breathe, by British climber and Mountain Guide, Andy Cave, was published by Random House this week. The story begins in a coal mining village near Barnsley, less than one mile from where Ken Loach's film Kes was shot and culminates in the Indian Himalaya, with a cutting edge alpine style ascent of Changabang. Andy will be doing a book reading in Outside, Hathersage on 19 May at 7.30pm. Learning to Breathe is also featured on Open Country, Radio 4 this Saturday at 6.10am and next Thursday at 1.30pm.
