Out of 23 submissions in the this years Exposition category, eight are climbing guidebooks. Out of those 23 submissions seven have made it into the grand final, four of which are climbing guidebooks.
This years judges include Ed Douglas, (UK), Dougald MacDonald (U.S.), and Will Gadd (Canada).
Niall Grimes, editor of the BMC guidebooks is already in Banff, for a writing course according to Alex Messenger the BMC's editor of Summit magazine, and is well placed if the BMC are successful this year. Mike Robertson author of Deep Water is hanging Christmas decorations in the John Lewis Stores around the UK.
