This is a one-day conference at the RGS-IBG, London on Wednesday 29 May 2002.
The conference brings together a wide range of organisations and individuals responsible for the health and safety of young people involved in expeditions and fieldwork, both in the UK and abroad. By drawing together a consolidated position on what constitutes present best practice from amongst the delegates, this Standing conference sets a benchmark for organisers and provide a pyramid of expertise to encourage safe and responsible expeditions and fieldwork.
