Niccolò Ceria has made the 9th ascent of Vincent Pochon's The Big Island, ~8C, at Fontainebleau.

Niky has now spent a month in the forest and still has one left before he has to leave.

After building a solid base of 8B+'s and 8B's, it seems it's now time to raise the bar a notch or two and this was his first of the grade. As he considers Fontainebleau one of the very best bouldering areas on the planet (and I suppose there are a few who tends to agree with him), he could have chosen a worse place to do it

It's not only about hard grades though:

Behind this, the most important thing of the past month was the opportunity to live the forest in a deeper way, looking at the hidden gems beyond tons of classics, seeing new spots and checking peculiar lines.
