Surely one of the most extraordinary mountain viewpoints in Europe

Gorgeous photo, Gordon, so atmospheric.

Thanks, Jon. It was an exceptionally interesting 'mountain photography' day for me. First, because we waited three hours for the cloud to lift before we could see anything; and second, because it was so emotionally charged, being able in July 2009 to look straight in at the top half of the Fiva Route where my brother and I had so nearly lost our lives exactly 40 years earlier.

Extraordinary Gordon... I've read of your experiences on that wall previously; to go back there 40 years on must have been 'emotionally charged' indeed!
