alpine sports great moor st bolton did a guide called rock climbing guide to the wilton quarries bolton march 1969 they closed all day wednesday

Brian's right, the first proper guide was Bowden Black's Orangey-red and black number. I'll see if I can scan it in.
BUT, we've also just turned up a copy of a guide to the Wilton Face (ie inside face of the Prow) written i probably the late 50's or early 60s by Graham Kilner - I'm trying to get hold of one of Graham's mates for more information on it.
