The last light from the sun catches the beach at Bude in Cornwall.

Really great photo, I love the foreground. How did you "balance" the exposure, is it with HDR, a flash or something else?

Thanks Mike, the foreground is lit by natural light from the sun, and because the sky is a few stops brighter where the sun is i used an ND Graduated Grey filter over just the sky. I don't use HDR. Its all about timing, the trick is to look at the light on the beach first and be ready for it, for example a few minutes after i took this the sun had gone down far enough so that them boulders at the waters edge blocked out the sunlight catching the beach, hope that helps.

Timing is everything! What lens do you use?

Thanks, a Canon 17-40 lens was used here.

Nice, the focused rocks lead you into the sunset.
