Superb colours, are they real?

It's a scanned slide. The slide was Fuji Velvia which produces very saturated colours, then scanning always causes slight changes to the colour balance, so it's hard to say what's real and what isn't. The colours are about as I remember them at the time - 10 years ago.

The sunsets are often spectacular round Joshua Tree - mainly due to smog from Los Angeles.
