No flash. I ran round and filled in some of Steve's legs with a headtorch.
Moonlight was incredible. Easily enough to see by/climb by. It was *such* a clear night!

I love the lighting, dramatic lighting like this is often used by painters and photographers to create volume and is known as Chiaroscuro. Perhaps some of the appeal of this photo is the subconscious (or consious) association with renaissance painting.
