It was a completely clear night until I arrived at the top of Side Pike, then it clouded over. Lost some contrast and definition as a result, but it still captures the ODG and the New as pools of light in the snow-covered valley.
Thanks Mick, this was one of my first forays into nighttime photography. It produces very strange effects when you look at the results of a shot exposed for the dark - it comes out light as day.
If it hadn't been for the cloud cover, you'd be able to see the stars as well as the pubs.

What a great shot - patch in a better sky and this is a winner for both art and originality
Stone Idol, I hadn't thought of it in those terms. I could Photoshop in a good sky but the pity is the loss of contrast in the snowscape.
I'll have a play around with the idea. Thanks for the comments!
