Rab Carrington yes. Is Big Nic the guy I knew as Big Ian, barkeep at the Clachaig ?

Nearly right Ian - Big Nic is Ian Nicolson who ran the Kingshouse (I think it belonged to his mother-in-law). Rab and Ian are contemporaries and both came on to the scene big time in the late 60s.
