It's a vast improvement over my Canon Ixus, so I'm very happy with it. Expensive for a compact, and I haven't tried any other high-end compacts so can't compare, but I'm taking some good shots with it. I still haven't read the manual though, so I'm sure I'm missing all sorts of tricks and settings!

more great work with your rx100. i normally shoot in manual mode but i am happy in full auto with my rx100 - what are you doing?

I'm in auto mode Mac. It seems to do everything the way I like it so I don't switch to full manual very often. I was taking pictures of a moon-lit Aonach Beag on Friday night from a high bivi, and the results were pretty good given no tripod. The low-light pictures are so impressive on the RX100, I can't believe it!
