Written before the explosion of quarry climbing around Saddleworth and Longdendale in the 1960's when Laddow was one of the premier gritstone crags.

Yes I remember it well I climbed on Laddow all through the 60. I visited laddow in 2010 with an American friend, and was very disappointed to see it had gone to wreck and ruin over the years. It was nice though to visit England again, we had forgot Just how nice and green the country was. hope to come back again soon.Mike.

Perhaps we take our green country for granted, but at times it seems it never stops raining.
