Great timing! Looks like an F-15E rather than anything British. No canards so not Typhoon and too long in the body and with a delta wing so prob not Tornado (good comparison with tornado here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:F-15C_Tornado_IDS_DFST8901717.JPEG) - full resolution image would help though!
I once witnessed two F15s being chased by two Polish SU29s over Styhead so more exotic things to crop up over the Lakes.
Regardless, nice shot!

yeah defo not a Typhoon - it's got twin tails so probably F15.
