Lovely Shaun. Whatever lens you used deals with the sun well. Did you have to edit out the lens flare?

Thanks James...Canon 17-40mm good lens also helped by Lee filters 2 stop, bit of flare easily removed.

Also my lens of choice (until the rumoured Canon 16-60 makes an appearance anyway). Congrats again, lovely photo.

Hi James. Where are you hearing if this? The only evidence I can find was as a possible EF-S, meaning that it wouldn't fit the Eos6D or 5DII?! ;-(

Re 16-60. Those focal lengths are more in keeping with a lens for crop sensor for sure...we can live in hope a good quality full frame 16-60....would probably have me upsetting the financial controller, I'd suspect for FF you,d be looking at £1500 region for FF crop sensor anything from £400-800 guesstimates of course
