This was my first lead of a proper Lakes extreme...found it 'ard. I recall that protection scarce and poor, and the climbing much steeper than it appeared from below. My team mate that day was Johnny Adams, who took this photo. It was actually the first time we had climbed together, but it marked the start of a long and productive partnership, and a friendship that remains today.
