The lack of snow is very noticeable compared with half a century ago!

Since this photo (5 days ago) it snowed considerably... went up the Hornli ridge to summit yesterday with a client and was in crampons for half the route!

Rubble? How dare you!
The rock is in boulders, not powder, therefore the Alpine club defines it as "sound rock for the Valaisan Alps".
